Annual Conventions
Our annual conventions are held one weekend a year, in various locations along the former Monon Railroad. The 2008 convention will be held in:
October 3, 4 and 5, 2008
Registration is open all three days.
The Convention generally has a common format.
Friday:
An informal Friday evening hospitality room is available for members to become reacquainted and browse over photographs and the Monon Society Archives.
Saturday:
Crawfordsville in 2004 was the final bus tour of the former Monon. All branches of the railroad have now been covered. For 2008 your Convention Committee is working on an interesting program. Be sure to check the official convention page for updates and new information. Annual banquet, awards and show and tell session after.
Sunday:
The swap meet and a model/photo contest. Dealer tables are set up. The annual business meeting may be held on Saturday, but is usually held on Sunday.
These Conventions are a great place to meet other Society members and put faces to the name.
