The Replacement Depot.

This depot, built in 1953, replaced the one destroyed by the wreck. Don Cripe was the first Monon Agent to work there. The station is still in operation today by CSX. View from northwest.

Left: View number three. Taken from the tracks looking north. For me, these pictures bring back so many pleasant memories. Hard to believe that at one time a paved passengers platform extended from approximately where this photo was taken to the Commercial Avenue crossing. Right: Circa 2003 Aerial view.
