In 2012 the Monon Railroad Historical-Technical, Inc. (MRHTS) is returning to French Lick, Indiana for its Annual Meeting and Convention.
For those who attended the 2005 Annual Meeting and Convention, you will want to return. The area has been revitalized with World Class Hotels and lots of new attractions for everyone. Plenty to see and do for the entire family. Make those plans to come join the MRHTS in French Lick in 2012, September 28-30, 2012.
The Society has several blocks of room reserved in French Lick.
There are 20 rooms reserved at the Comfort Inn Suites under the group Monon Route. These are for Friday and Saturday night at $104.00 per night, plus 11% tax. The hotel is at 9530 West State Road 56. Telephone number 1-812-936-5300.
There are 10 rooms reserved at the French Lick Resort under 0912MRH. These rooms are for Friday and Saturday and are $189.00 per night plus 11% tax. The French Lick Resort is located at 8670 West State Road 56.
There are also 10 rooms reserved at the West Baden Resort under 0912MRH. These rooms are for Friday and Saturday and are $229.00 per night plus 11% tax.
Tentative Itinerary
On Friday evening the Society will have a hospitality suite set up in the Monon Room of the French Lick Springs Hotel. There will be no gathering for dinner this year. There are some many dining options and price ranges we are sure that convention attendees will have no problems finding a suitable place for dinner.
On Saturday we are planning on a dinner train in place of a banquet. Details of this are still being ironed. We hope to include The Lynne in this plan. More information as it becomes available.
On Sunday there will be the usual Train Show and Annual Meeting. The Train Show will be very different from previous years. More details as they become available.
There is a lot to do in and around French Lick. Come join us for a World Class weekend of all things Monon.
